In February 1944 Worldwar II, grandfather Sjoerd van der Schuit (resistance name Van Swinderen) was arrested together with Corrie ten Boom, her father, sister and other members of the Schuilplaats-resistance (Barteljorisstraat Haarlem). They imprisoned him in the Oranjehotel, Scheveningen (since 2019 National Museum Oranjehotel) in cell no. 424. Today I was in this cell . . .

CHECKING ONE OF THE ANCIENT HUGE ROCKS OF BOT ER MOHET

This 'Allée Couverte' = more than 7000 years old.

A new tableau of 45x60cm is on my easel. Two layers of gesso. Cerrulean blue + lemon yellow + lamp black: mixed.

Bot er Mohet is now painted/sketched with this colour. The Doll is (as always) present.
