PAINTING KEES VERWEY WITH 00 & 000 BRUSHES AND A MAGNIFYING GLASS
1 december 2025To use such thin brushes is great. But to paint and hold a magnifying glass in the other hand at the same time is not handy so I bought a head-wearing magnifier to paint Kees Verwey properly. Kees and 6 other paintings (Botermohet, Willem de Winter, Le Pouldu) shall be exhibited in De Waag (KZOD) Haarlem in January February.

THE SIXTH PAINTING
17 november 2025The sixth painting for the next KZOD exhibition (Waag) in 2026 is almost finished. The october-exhibition in the Haarlem Townhall inspired me to make a poem for the next Haarlem Vijfhoekkunstroute in May 2026. Theme: The Secret.

HAARLEM KUNSTLIJN IN 'HET HEILIGPAND'
8 november 2025More than 100 people visited our exhibition today in Studio A' and saw the more than 50 beautiful paintings and the painting of Renk with his huge moustache. The building of Studio A' is located behind the Frans Hals Museum (véry inspiring).

THE DOLL IN THE BED OF IDA, MEIJER DE HAAN'S DAUGHTER
20 juli 2025In 2013, when my exhibition was held in Le Pouldu: La Chapelle Notre Dame de La Paix, I placed the real doll in the cradle of Ida (the daughter of Meijer de Haan and Marie Poupée) in Maison Musée about 200 meters from the chapel. This cradle with the doll in it is now painted on the new tableau of 13x18cm: 'Acceptée par KZOD'.
