THE VIJFHOEK-HAARLEM-POEM IS FINISHED, BUT . . .

In order to complete my little drawing which shall accompany my poem I need to find a certain tomb in the St. Bavo church, the church where Vladimir played the Müller organ in the nineties with Piet Kee. But is that possible at this moment (corona)?

The Doll, paper, a rietpen, a brush, brown ink, a piece of my father's pajamas, bister and something we wear every day since March 2020. Drawings and washings shall be made at my round table which is full of sunshine and Easter decorations.

BRETAGNE AND OUR HOUSE IN NL

Hans, who lived in our house in the 1930-ies and during WWII, married a Breton girl mány years ago called Nicole le C. Hans is 97 years old now.

Bretons and Friezen (my father was a Fries) not only have their own beautiful language, culture and character but also their very special horses. For example: Frederik The Great and Tonjes are Friesian stallions.

THE 13x18cm ICON IS FINISHED

On the sides I added my 'Celtic' figures. It is something I draw without thinking. Do I add some goldpaint or gold-pigment & oil? My pigments I buy at De Zaanse Schans in paintmill De Kat.

In 2000 my millennium-photographs were exhibited in Het Zaans Museum. De Zaanse Schans is one of the most typical-Dutch sightseeings in our province. Vraiment magnifique! When it re-opens again, after the lockdown, I plan to take my art-friends in the Daf to draw and paint there again and maybe meet Larissa Bilous too. She teaches tourists to paint matrjoshka's. I met her years ago in Het Mosterdzaadje in Santpoort.

MILLS IN NOORD-HOLLAND

Etchings of 'our' mill De Zandhaas and also one of Henk Vijn's mill De Adriaen were made years ago. De Zandhaas shall be part of a new drawing in ink.

TRAY OF A CENTURIES-OLD INN

For the 13x18cm little painting I used a centuries-old tray of a café. This Haarlem-café, Wapen van Bloemendaal, was many centuries ago, an inn. My sister, she owned it in the 1980-ies, found typical Haarlem-paintings underneath the old wallpaper. When the cafés will be opened again (after the lockdown) I hope to examin these beauties once more.
