MALE MODEL IN BLOEMENDAAL

A 22x28cm sheet of paper was prepared with grey/white and skincolour acrylpaint for the portrait of a man. I used fusain and white pastel to draw. It felt good to draw with enthousiastic people again. The last time was several years ago on the attic of De Waag in Haarlem.

ANGELUS IN AMSTERDAM

Millers Angelus, The Gleaners and Man with a Hoe: vraiment magnifiques ! Our wooden wheelbarrow is painted on the 'Angelus' and our hoe on 'Man With a Hoe'. I didnot know that these objects were thát old.

MILLET IN VINCENTS VAN GOGH MUSEUM

Vincent copied many times (Cher Theo, tu dois avoir si je ne me trompe les Travaux des Champs de Millet) paintings of Millet but he never saw the original Angelus, one of Millets most beautiful paintings. So: e-ticket, ov-card, pigment liner and 14x10cm papersheets are needed for a special visit to Amsterdam.

Started: Callac, The Child & The Doll (ill), une danseuse and in the background : . .  is painting.

All in acryllic on a 13x18cm petit tableau. My little (9x14cm) voyage-sketchbooks are very inspiring. Avranches on it? Yes, but donot ask me why. Or is it because of the cat?

JOHAN ENSCHEDE IN NH ARCHIEF

The exhibition 'Johan Enschede' in Noord-Hollands Archief is very interesting not only because my eldest brother Johan is still working for this company but also because he is the owner of very old, still working Heidelberg machinery.  My paintings 'Vincent and Ilja' and 'The Rolling Stones' are exhibited next to Johan's imposing black beauties. I designed my own 10€ banknote (the Yanna) in the NHA. With a sunflower on it, V.

On the background are two special museums.  The drawing of La Tsarina à Amsterdam is protected now (fixatif) against sweet little granddaughter- fingers.

TO VINCENT VAN GOGH'S NOORD-BRABANT

The two little oilpaintings (on cardboard , 13x18cm?) of Vincent and Theo (but was it really Theo with Vincents haircolour?) were for me the highlights of the exhibition in Het Noord-Brabants Museum. The two were 'lovely' exhibited, very close together. A DAF31 was there two. It was just great to be in Brabant , Den Bosch, again. The city where my mother lived and worked in De Nieuwstraat 24, 76 years ago.
