RENAULT OS2 1929
Thinking of the Haarlem family (I wrote a poem accompanied by a little angel-drawing in the condolance-book at the childrens school 'Babushka', Haarlem) who was killed (Quint, my daughter-in- law was his 'juffie', Pijke, father Antoine, mother Simone and babushka Christiene) in the MH17-crash in Ukrain,
I coloured large sheets of paper with bister and red ocre. This coloured paper shall be used for my linoprints, wherever I make my linocuts in Europe. The wet paper was placed at our ancient Renault OS2 1929 . The first owner of this original camion was Monsieur Fickler, Tournon, France. We visited his daughter Aimée Fickler many years ago. She married monsieur Roure, a winefarmer. When we showed her the picture of her fathers car she started to cry: "mais c'est le camion de mon père"!
