Amazing . . .
In June I received an invitation of 'Friends of The Hermitage Amsterdam' to join the opening of the exhibition IMPRESSIONISM. On the invitation: a photo of Jeanne Samary, painted by Renoir. Exactly ten years ago (June 2002) I met Vlasova, the museumkeeper in the Hermitage St. Petersburg where she was standing next to this painting. We then discussed Renoir and THIS painting (see below 28 march).
