Lucy Steen van der Schuit

Marja gave me a véry thin brush (000) which belonged to her mother-in-law who was a Hindeloopen-painter. The Hindeloopen Art-work is a typical traditional Dutch way of painting: furniture, wooden boxes etc. I used the brush for my 13x18 oilpainting of V., The Child & The Statue. Working with it reminded me of the kind Palech Painter I spoke with in De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam . .  years ago.
