Lucy Steen van der Schuit

My eldest brother Johan is a restorer of centuries-old antique bibles. When he was 14 years old he started 'working & learning' as a typesetter at De Spaarnestad, Haarlem. After a number of years he also learnt to be a bookbinder. Then started his own business with a qualified staff and heavy Heidelberg machinery. Now he restores antique bibles (including the copper locks) and artbooks. Sometimes, when the cover of an artbook is damaged he brings it to me to restore it.
