'Choosing Vincent' in the Van Gogh Museum is not only an exhibition about doubt and triumph but also a tribute to Jo Bonger, Vincent's sister-in-law. Because I own several little 60 years old books published by Vincent Willem van Gogh (Vincent's neveu), the family-pictures and diaries were very interesting. And of course the Nabis paintings made in our beloved Bretagne where I had an exhibition in La Chapelle Notre Dame de La Paix au Pouldu. I wish all our Breton friends (Morbihan, Finistère and Côte d'Armor) could see these Breton paintings (peintures de Breizh) in Amsterdam.

After Vincent's museum to The Hermitage. The last time I was there was at the 17th of February 2022, one week before the war, when there were hardly no employees visible in the museum: a weard situation. The Hermitage is now a completely Dutch museum. We admired Jan Steen's paintings of The Leiden Collection of the Kaplans e.g. 'In Luxury Beware'. The exhibition: Rembrandt en his contemporaries. Really worthwhile visiting.

Last but not least: the latest Art'otel exhibition Abstractalizm.

A good, inspiring day.
