A MAIL OF HOPE FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM

More than twenty years ago I prepared a 70x100cm sheet of paper with Caperol & acryllic paint and put it in a drawer. To-day only this paper was acceptable for sketches and texts expressing not only the horror of The Present but also the love and admiration we feel for our family, friends, neighbours and the friendly people we meet.       And thén came the mail from Great Britain.

Dierbare Daf

een pet gaat af, een duim omhoog

"hé kijk, daar gaat een Daf

mijn moeder had er ook zo een

ja, met een pienter pookje

dat zie je nog maar weinig"

is wat ik heel vaak hoor

LE PETIT MESSAGER DE BRETAGNE (THE LITTLE MESSENGER FROM BRITTANY)

To-day I sent an email to Breizh, Brittany. Half an hour later, sitting behind my drawingtable, I saw a hirondelle flying towards the large window, to me. It flew a couple of meters away in a beautiful curve and again to me. Then flying to the left, then to the right as if I was drawing the wings of an airplane in a frontview from the left to the right. Then the little barn swallow made large curves and kept doing so several times very close to the window. When I stood up with my face almost against the window, the bird flew again in my direction, made a circle and . . . away. R. : "hé, what is that little bird doing?"

GEDICHT WATER

WATER

Er was eens . . .

een ei en een zaadje

ze maakten een praatje

het zaadje: "ga mee"

het eitje tevree

zo werd het een mooi heet-er-daadje

de foetus kwam later

zwom heerlijk in 't water

zelfs holadiee

'n bommetje? Neee

wél oh-zo'n-gezellig geklater

ach jee, wat een pech

het water liep weg

"ik wil er niet uit!"

oh, wat een geluid

het kind was compleet-van-de-leg

het badje stond klaar

ja, spartelen maar

zo werd het kind groot

was prins, werd piloot

door 't water een manageraar
