  • INVITATION VAN GOGH MUSEUM

    To-day I received an invitation from the director of the Van Gogh Museum, Axel Rüger, to celebrate (with 124 other guests) the new entrance of the Van Gogh Museum. This also means new inspiration for my project Vincent & The Child.

  • ON BOARD

    On the 21th Anne & I sailed on the IJ (Sail Amsterdam) on a hop-on-ship De Stortemelk. The ship stopped just before the Kruzenshtern (Крузенштерн) ,the magnificent tall-ship from Kaliningrad (our friend Vladimir has been organist of the Dom in Kaliningrad). The huge ropes, pulleyblocks, ancre, sails. . .  I installed myself in the frontsail to feel the history of the Kruzenshtern and the oceans she has sailed on. Het IJ in all its glory.  No wonder Peter The Great fell in love with Amsterdam and proved to be very successfull in learning everything about building ships.

  • PRE - SAIL IJMUIDEN, SAIL AMSTERDAM

    To-day Pre - Sail IJmuiden starts. Hundreds of boats, ships and magnificant Tall-ships (Clipper Stad Amsterdam, Kruzenshtern Крузенштерн, Halve Maen, Belem) shall sail into the port of our proud municipality.  On Thursday every ship and boat shall sail to Amsterdam. My cousin Anton sails on the IJveer-ferry-boat. He owns the IJveer IV, that lies in het Spaarne. Two million visitors are expected to watch this greatest nautic event in the world.

  • MOSAIC VINCENT VAN GOGH

    On the 5th, 6th and 7th of September a mosaic of Vincent shall be exposed at Museumplein before the renovated Van Gogh Museum. The mosaic is at this moment being constructed of paintings and drawings which were made by us, participants to the Vincent van Gogh-contest, for Avro/Tros.

  • TOUR DE FRANCE

    4 juli 2015

    The temporarily red-dotted Mairie (Townhall) of Mûr de Bretagne  is ready to receive the Tour de France on the 11th of July. I talked about it with the Mayor, Hervé (son of Jean) le Lu. The Tour starts in about 2 hours in Utrecht (Hollande), The Netherlands.  A little inkdrawing high-lighted with red dots is already made.

  • SKETCHING ON THE BOTTOM of LAC (LAKE) DE GUERLÉDAN

    Sketching on the bottom of Lac de Guerlédan in the windowseat (what is left of it, for it has been under water for so many years) of the Ecluse 127, Trégnanton. 51 Million cubic meters of water were removed from this huge lake. The lake will be refilled again in October 2015. The soil feels like a trampoline and you really have to be very careful: your feet might, all of a sudden, sink 40 centimeters. Sitting here is one of the most special things we have ever experienced. The trees are dead but somehow did survive in this amazing, Breton landscape.

  • LES GRANDS BLANCS & DE WAAG

    Many years ago we received an excellent bouteille de vin blanc (1988) from the daughter of Monsieur Fickler, the first owner of our Renault OS2, who lived in Tournon, Ardèche. After drinking this excellent Roure-wine we went to Belcanto for the artists-barbecue. More than a 100 artists, alle having their ateliers in this enormous building, attended. After that: Vijfhoekkunstroute in Haarlem. To-morrow: our nude-model-exhibition in a historical building: De Waag.

  • L'ALLEE DES ALYSCAMPS 祝賀

    To-day, on the 6th of May 2015, a Vincent van Gogh admiror bought L'Allée des Alyscamps of our Vincent. I congratulate him/her with this lovely painting. Maybe, in the future he/she will allow us, in The Netherlands, to admire the painting in the Amsterdam/Van Gogh Museum.
