  A Must-See-Exhibition which no artist or art-admirer should miss. How beautiful to see so many paintings of Rembrandt coming from museums all over the world: National Museum of Art in Washington, The National Gallery in London, Nationalmuseum in Stockholm,The Old Masters Museum in Berlin etc.

• BULB FIELDS & DUTCH DAF(DAFFODIL)

  Our bulbfields are looking gorgeously colorful. It is only a short ride in our Daf 32 (which we bought in Paris, Versaille) to see and smell this typical Dutch tulip and hyacinth landscape. Our great Swiss mountain dog Gwenn, Joli Coeur, my sketchbook and the picnic basket shall accompany us. Our friend Frits and his friends are going on their mopeds: Kreidler, Solex etc.

• IN THE BUS STOP WITH PIET KEE

  Today, after making modeldrawings at the KZOD Waag - attic, I met Piet Kee. While we sat in the sunshine at the little bench in the busstop at the Gedempte Oude Gracht we talked about our mutual friend, the famous organist Vladimir Khomiakov (Chelyabinsk). After that he made his own, special little drawing in the little Brown Book. Dank u wel Piet!

• ROTHKO

  Standing before the last paintings of Rothko RED and our Dutch painter Mondriaan VICTORY BOOGIE WOOGIE at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag (I love that city) is fabulous. All worldproblems solve, looking at these paintings.       I am finishing the painting of 'Frans Hals Arrives' on canvas. I started it in 2013 but so many other things (drawings of actualities etc. for my Artbook) kept me busy.

• KZOD and V & D

  After making several model-sketches in charcoal and red chalk at the KZOD-attic we went to V & D's topfloor to discuss our drawings. V & D houses in a special building. It was built around Van der Piggen, surveyor of the king. Sketches for the little oilpainting 'Haarlem Roze Stad' were made there several years ago on the topfloor where the city-view is wonderful.
