  • THÉ TJONG KHING

    After being busy with my painting 'Föchtelo-er Veen' (acrylic on canvas 40x50cm) I visited the Verwey Museum, Haarlem:  Thé Tjong KHING. Khing is already 90 years old and still creating his special drawings in ink and gouache.

  • ON THE ORIGINAL PEGASUS BRIDGE

    Today I spoke with Arlette Gondrée after making sketches of the original Pegasus Bridge in Memorial Pegasus, Normandy. Arlette (then 4 years old) was, with her father and mother, the first family that was liberated on the 6th of June 1944. Her spirit and energy make her look like a 40-year old (young) woman. She wrote something for me on my card. Such a pity that I did not have the little brown book with me.

  • THE LINOPRINT IS LOCATED NOW IN LA CHAPELLE DE POULDU

    My 3-colours-linoprint 'May The Light of Love shine upon you always' (on black paper) is at this moment in 'my' Chapelle Notre Dame de La Paix, Le Pouldu. Quel endroit! My exhibition here was exactly ten years ago: 'Vincent van Gogh and The Beslan Child'. Since two years the horrible war changed Europe completely and forced me to change my inspiration as well.

  • UNE BELLE RENCONTRE

    'Une Belle Rencontre' said the maire to me when I visited him in 2013 in the Mairie of Clohars-Carnoët, Ti-Kêr.

    Last Sunday 'A Belle Rencontre' happened again in Breizh (Bon Repos) when I was buying a dvd of André Rieu.

    Dr. Caroline Boyle Turner (Gauguin-expert, who visited my exhibition in La Chapelle Notre Dame de La Paix, Le Pouldu 2013): "só many coïncidences are happening in you life, Lucy".

  • LÉNAÏK ET LA STATUE DE LA LIBERTÉ

    The painting (105x90cm in ironpaint, on the doors of the cave) of Lénaïk, la fondatrice du DBK is under restauration. The paint of the skin is covered with weather-stains. Mixing the right colours is difficult because the proper ironpaint that I need is not available any more.

  • VETERANS DAY IN THE NETHERLANDS

    Flagday today  🇳🇱  honoring our military veterans: my dad who was a prisoner of war in Torgau, Elbe and survived (severely wounded) the traincrash (the allied-train was derailed by the ennemy) in Kaiserslautern in 1945. I often paint The Dutch flag  e.a. on 'Bretons au Champ de Tulipes' as a sign of celebrating our Freedom.
