GEDICHT

DE TOBBE

Er staat een tobbe in de wei

gevuld met ware kleuren

er zitten heel wat mensen in

dat kan zómaar gebeuren

De tobbe die steeds groter wordt

zit boordevol verhalen

eenieder neemt ze met zich mee

in vele mooie talen

De blije tobbe in de wei

laat alle mensen gaan

het luisteren was waardevol

het bad? Eén warme wereldbol!

BACK ON THE PLANET

The 3rd painting 'WE, TOGETHER':

A baletdancer, a man with a long white beard, a woman who appears to be (while painting) Maria Heijboer (I met her years ago with Lotti & Joke in Historisch Museum Haarlem and emailed with Petra a.o. about the translation of Antons article in a Russian magazine) and other special people . . . Impossible to say where the painting leads to. This way of painting is taking me off this planet into another dimension. Extraordinary . . .

COPLETELY IN LOVE WITH YOUR THEME

At the moment I start a new theme it stays in my head all the time. It is sometimes difficult to let go and make time for the 'normal' things. Ending it in the right way is also crucial, for once you stopped working on this subject and start another one, the 'Begeisterung' is practically over. Except. . . . V & The B.C. (& The D.).

CORNEILLE / COBRA IN PONT-AVEN

For the first time I saw Corneilles work of art (these paintings I had never seen before) after Corneille and I had an unforgetable conversation in 2003 at the COBRA-museum in Amstelveen. All the Dutch texts in this Breton museum . . . to hear the museumguide pronounce our words and names in the French language: Karèl Appèl and his painting Kleine hiep hiep hoera . . . It all made me véry happy and fortunate to whitness this in my favourite Breton Museum. Merci, Breizh!

'LA CRÊPIÈRE DE PENANROS' IS COMPLETED

The painting of 'La crêpière de Penanros' is completed including a little portrait of 'L'Héros de La Paix' at the background. The back of the tableau is painted in a typical old-Dutch 'Hindeloopen'- colour waiting for . . . The painting shall accompany us to La Nuit des Musées in Pont-Aven where Corneilles paintings are now. It will be strange to see his work again after so many years (when we had such a joli conversation in 2003).

STARTED: 'LA CRÊPIÈRE DE PENANROS' IN QUADRANTS

While I am painting (La Crêpière de Penanros) I can see 'our' mill De Zandhaas. The new wings of the mill are joyfully swinging in the sunshine again. Congratulations, millner Jos!

A friend of ours, who came by to chat with my husband about their bonsai-trees, was amazed that I had started the painting in the old-fashioned but (for me) exciting way: in quadrants.

BIRDS 🎵 AND STROOPWAFELS

In May (18th) the 13th Vijfhoekkunstroute starts. This 'artexplosion' in the old city-centre of Haarlem has chosen Misfortune as subject. But my poem (of the 3rd of April) is a bit different.

My Pont-Aven-sac is filled with aquarel-brushes, bister, aux-trois-crayons chalk, fixative, bistered paper etc. for we are going to De Kweektuinen to draw the birds and tropical plants. Stroopwafels and boterbabbelaars are in the bag too, mmm . . .
