ETCHING IN SPAARNDAM

A sundaymorning-bicycle-trip on my ebike to Spaarndam, our neighbour- (Hans Brinkers) village. I made a dry-needle-etching of the Breton dolmen Bot er Mohet in several colours. Such a difference between our flat country full of canals & bridges and the green hills of Brittany. But . . . both so beautiful.

DADA AND FLUOR IN ARCHITECTONISCH KUNSTHISTORISCH CENTRUM

Visiting this DADA exhibition of a.o. Peter Bruyn, I examined the impressive ABC buildingplans around Fluor and then spoke with an ex-fluor colleague after more than 50 years.

JOLI COEUR

She is painted on 'Nous Ensemble' and hundreds of little drawings are made of notre petite Chienne Trouvée de Keranroué: Joli Coeur. Even our house is named after this unforgettable, little Breton dog: 'Ti Joli Coeur'.

EXHIBITION IN 'DE DROMEDARIS'

From Hoorn where once stood uncle Jaap's farm in the middle of the town (Vollerswaal) we went to Wijdenes and Oosterleek to visit the grave (a véry small graveyard) of Jan Steen & Antje Steen-Leegwater, grandparents. Standing in the sunny harbour of Enkhuizen it was a real pleasure to sketch the ships and after that to visit the Dromedaris to admire this monument with its paintings.
